Nearly the end of the day and also the end of the week, thank goodness!
Mum came back on Monday, after a glorious week of having the house to myself. She said she might get in at 6:30pm, but that was a mighty fib, because she was there by the time I came home. And of course, she was not satisfied with how I had cleaned the house. Well, I must admit that I didn't put much effort into it. I've been putting less and less in recently, because she always finds fault with sometime - why go out of my way only to still get whinged at?
I resubsctibed to WoW on the 20th and so far I've seen Ahune dead just once, which really sucks. I've been doing the seasonal daily quests though, so hopefully I'll at least get a robe or three for my alts and a brazier for Taly at the end of it. I've mostly been playing my druid, Eidolone, these past few days. I finally got her to 40 yesterday. Quite an achievement, actually, because she was the first alt I made, intended to be a potion factory back when the Burning Crusade was only a twinkle and a character only had to be level 35 to have maximum alchemy skill. I might make her a new main for the next expansion, because druids are pretty versatile with regards to roles they can play - ranged and melee dps, tank, healer. And I want flight form XD Tanking is damn hard work though, trying to keep a lid on multiple mobs with only one AoE taunt that has a 10-minute cooldown. Meh.
In other news, the new themed movie night is going to be held at Douglas Towers first, since we have two good sized-TVs here with good sound systems. At least the sun room will be put to its intended purpose - entertaining groups of friends. Richard's choice of theme got picked: pirates. Note, that means pirates plural, and also not just people dressed as pirates. I have a couple of options to put up for consideration. each of us brings one movie and two will be watched. Should be fun. Better than if it was at Rich's, because we'd need to keep the noise down there with Richard's sprog asleep.
I went to my first Weight Watchers meeting with Mandy yesterday, and signed up for a month. I started today, and I've already been good by not taking a chocolate from the open box in the office behind me, or a slice of some sort of chocolatey cake *sigh* My mouth waters at the thought. I guess I'll be having soup for tea when I get in, with a thrilling dessert of raisins...or something like that. Diets are only interesting if you have time to faff around - in other words, you're at home all day or you have your diet food cooked for you. And since I don't enjoy cooking, I'd rather spend my time on weekdays doing other things... |
